SERVICE AND

DID YOU
KNOW?

Companies choose a vendor due to their experience and knowledge and insurance is no different. SERVICE is paramount to the clients who work with Elite-VB under Pamela’s leadership. Businesses have never chosen our agency due to the CARRIER. It is always due to the expertise of the leader. Elite-VB knows that the voluntary benefit broker you choose should be able to execute a flawless enrollment strategy, and then move immediately into “new hire” and “service strategy” as we are committed to handling claims in our Midtown office, making sure new hires are cared for and billing errors a “thing of the past”. Service…it’s what separates Elite-VB from other carriers in the Alaska market (especially those who just represent ONE carrier).

FOLLOWING INITIAL
ENROLLMENT

NEW HIRE STRATEGY:

Often new employees are given “guarantee issue” options only available during their eligibility period. Voluntary benefits are a vital tool in attracting employees and our benefit counselors will make sure that they are offered the programs and if they elect coverage, send deduction information and if no, capture the “decline”. This is critical and obviously if we’re enrolling all of your benefits, we will ensure they are also enrolled in their benefits on a timely basis.

EMPLOYEE FEEDBACK:

Use our survey to gauge your employees’ satisfaction with our communications and enrollment process

CLAIMS SERVICE:

Our local office is poised to help your employees with claims, service questions and navigating the secure website to file and receive their (oh so important) health screening benefits!

COMPLIANCE WITH SECTION 125:

New hire strategy is critical for ensuring that your organization complies with Section 125 as all “pre-tax” benefits should be offered to all employees equally and fairly.

ELECTION DATA:

Receive a summary of your employees’ enrollment elections

ONLINE ADMINISTRATIVE FUNCTIONS:

View, reconcile and pay your invoices online

MID-YEAR SERVICE VISIT:

We recommend our benefit counselors come by mid-year to answer any questions, review online claims portal and help with outstanding claims (no policies written – service visit only)

MAINTAIN ONGOING
ELIGIBILITY

Benefits enrollment certainly isn’t a one-and-done thing. After all, our lives are constantly evolving. Many life and career changes – expected and unexpected – can affect employees’ eligibility for certain benefits.
For instance, employees or their covered dependents may age out of certain benefits; and marriages, divorces, births, deaths or adoptions may add or annul benefits for employees and family members. New employees will need to prove eligibility for various offered benefits. And terminations necessitate timely adjustments to individual employee benefit agreements.
Elite-VB offers clients and our broker partners consistent monitoring and maintenance of eligibility issues for all client employers and their full workforces.

DEVELOP A FIVE
YEAR PLAN

It’s encouraged to not only look to the initial enrollment needs and options, but to look forward to the next few years such that the needs and concerns for our employers/brokers are going to achieve the goals desired. A sample Five-Year Enrollment Strategy can include the following.

Year 1 – Active Enrollment: We’re With You

Our onsite enrollments are highly individualized to ensure that every employee has a sound understanding of his or her benefit choices. During this critical decision-making process, a deeply knowledgeable Benefit Counselor from Elite-VB will be on hand to educate employees thoroughly on the details of their choices. The Benefit Counselor also teaches employees how to use any benefits administration system they may be accessing. With “guarantee issue” typically offered during the initial enrollment, Elite-VB recommends mandatory group meetings at minimum / one-on-one’s which will also drive the non-traditional “value-added” program offering.

Year 2 – Onsite Workstations: Efficiency in Action

We work with the employer to set up onsite self-enrollment stations that help employees who are renewing their coverage breeze through the process. A Benefits Counselor is present to answer questions and help employees make benefit changes in the system.

Year 3 – Onsite Workstations: Efficiency Continues

At this point, most employees are still familiar with their benefits package and choices from the previous year, so, as in Year 2, we make workstations available to streamline the process. Renewing employees who have questions or need to reacquaint themselves with anything are welcome to participate in the full enrollment process, or speak with the Benefits Counselor.

Year 4 – Active Enrollment: Keeping it Current

At this point, most employees are still familiar with their benefits package and choices from the previous year, so, as in Year 2, we make workstations available to streamline the process. Renewing employees who have questions or need to reacquaint themselves with anything are welcome to participate in the full enrollment process, or speak with the Benefits Counselor.

Year 5 – Onsite Workstations: Time to Go Again

Thanks to the previous year’s active enrollment, in Year Five employees know what benefits they want and are familiar with the enrollment process. Essential Benefits again sets up self-enroll workstations attended by a knowledgeable Benefits Counselor.

As always, our Midtown corporate office is poised to meet one-on-one with any employee who has questions, concerns, claims concerns, etc.
